Day 1 - Welcome to Vientiane, Laos
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be warmly greeted and chauffeured to your choice of deluxe or luxury accommodations. All of our hotels have been carefully selected for their attentive service, distinctive ambience and terrific city-center locations. Delight in the chic, boutique styling of the Salana or Green Park Hotel or indulge in the landmark elegance of the historic Settha Palace.
Day 2 - Private Sightseeing
This morning your private car, driver and guide will be waiting to show you the historic landmarks of the capital. Your sightseeing begins at Wat Sisaket, one of the city’s most important temples. Within its cloistered hall, under a soaring 5-tiered roof, you will find thousands of Buddha images made from wood, stone and bronze – many of them dating back hundreds of years. Then continue to Hor Pha Keo. Originally built in the 16th century, invading armies nearly succeeded in razing this temple to the ground – not once, but twice; both times it was meticulously restored and today it still stands surrounded by lovely landscaped gardens. You’ll also admire the enormous gilded stupa of Pha That Luang and ascend to the viewing platform of the city’s Arc de Triomphe for wonderful views over Vientiane. After sightseeing, the rest of your afternoon and evening are yours to relax, enjoy and explore as you wish. Meals B
